Job Description:
Full-time Description GSM Outdoors is an industry-leading global
outdoor sporting goods company with 40 brands in outdoor, sporting
goods, shooting sports & fishing categories. GSM is headquartered
in Irving, Texas with multiple locations in the United States and
Asia. Position Summary: This position is responsible for product
development, sales, marketing, operations coordination and full
P&L ownership of the brand. This is essentially a min-CEO of
the brand. Brand strategy: brand vision and value short & long
term. Assist with product development, pricing and new product
launches. Develop new business opportunities Work with creative
team on packaging, website & other marketing collateral to maintain
brand style guidelines. Competitor analysis. Consumer insight Sales
& marketing support Position Responsibilities: Set the strategic
vision for the category and direction for the brand(s) through
short and long-term initiatives by leading the category teams for
new product development, launches, commercialization strategies and
category portfolio management. To be accountable for Category P &
L, revenue, margin and Inventory turn. The ideal candidate will be
an innovative thinker with brand marketing experience, solid
problem solving and critical thinking skills, and excellent
communication skills. Responsible for full portfolio management
including new product development from idea to delivery. Along with
the Project Managers, collaborate on new product development and
product updates for seamless new product launch strategies, updates
and road maps relevant to the brands. Tracks risks and
opportunities for the brand. Provide direction on portfolio
assortment needs, product adaptations and pricing strategy. Lead
and collaborate with direct and cross-functional team members to
execute effective product launches from conception to delivery.
Provide direction and guidance to internal creative service team(s)
and/or local approved agency partners for product launches,
packaging updates and POS materials. Provide input and guidance to
global sales teams on portfolio selection for all sales channels.
