About the Role:
As a CBRE Senior Data Scientist, you will optimize effectiveness
and predict complex outcomes through business, operations,
customer, and economic data in order to develop business
intelligence.
This job is part of the Data Science & Analytics job function. They
are responsible for reviewing data that supports improving
effectiveness and predicting outcomes to develop business
intelligence.
What You'll Do:
- Work on assigned complex cross-functional research or
analytical projects leveraging advanced computational
algorithms.
- Apply the tools of modern data science using open-source
architecture to the review of proprietary data. Manage data
research efforts for product development for internal and external
clients.
- Implement and maintain applications, networks, and devices.
Work with vendors to deliver updates and resolve issues. Manage
product lifecycles and upgrades.
- Coordinate data aggregation and curate reports, using various
business intelligence and reporting applications.
- Develop custom algorithms for solving complex real estate
business problems. Identify what data is available and relevant and
leverage new data collection processes.
- Confirm the quality and integrity of new and existing data
sources. Communicate insights to internal partners through
documentation.
- Collaborate with the agile development team to recommend
enhancements to existing processes.
- Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better
methods for accomplishing both individual and department
objectives.
- Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge
of other job disciplines within the organization function.
- Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in
most or all areas within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with
CBRE RISE values. Anticipate potential objections and persuades
others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt
a different point of view.
- Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or
service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by
functional policies which impact the design of procedures and
policies.
- Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or
operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.
- Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to
influence.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of
relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of
experience and education will be considered.
- Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive
mindset.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow,
PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience with large language models (LLMs) and frameworks
(e.g., Hugging Face Transformers).
- Knowledge of prompt engineering techniques.
- Understanding of embeddings and vector databases (e.g., FAISS,
Pinecone).
- Familiarity with Bayesian neural networks and their
implementations.
- Experience with discriminative and generative transformer
models.
- Skills in data preprocessing, cleaning, and
transformation.
- Experience with working with structured and unstructured
data.
- Strong grasp of supervised and unsupervised learning
algorithms.
- Understanding of model evaluation metrics and techniques.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning principles.
- Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data manipulation
tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for model
deployment.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Experience working in collaborative environments, preferably in
agile teams.
- The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond
existing solutions.
- Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative
solutions having a broad impact on the business.
