Job Description:

Ryder, a pioneer in logistics and transportation, is seeking a Shipment Management Associate to strengthen our supply chain operations. This role is essential to enhancing our reputation for innovation and efficiency, providing optimum fleet management, and dedicated transportation services to our diverse clientele. As a Shipment Management Associate, you will be tasked with overseeing daily shipping and distribution operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods across various industries. Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations ensuring compliance with company and legal policies. Utilize software systems to plan and track shipments from origin to final delivery, ensuring goods are delivered on time and in good condition. Communicate effectively with vendors, transportation companies, and internal teams to ensure efficient logistic operations. Responsible for troubleshooting any concerns related to freight and providing timely solutions. Prepare accurate bills of lading and manage documentation and information flow required for the shipping of goods. Implement cost reduction measures in shipment processes and maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
