Job Description:
The Senior Governance & Controls Automation Product Manager is a
senior level position responsible for managing a broad range of IT
governance and controls processes, setting strategy and providing
direction, leadership and budgetary management, etc. This role will
be responsible for the development of product plans, strategies,
and tactics while coordinating product lines through product
life-cycles in coordination with platform, risk control, and other
governance teams in support of Engineering & Architecture (E&A)
Governance process and tools for Personal Banking & Wealth
management (PBWM) technology organization as they perform their
duties in alignment with the Citi Architecture and System
Development Lifecycle standards and procedures. The overall
objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products
to develop new features, capabilities, and automation to enforce
standards and controls within the IT
organization.Responsibilities:
- Manage governance and controls within information technology as
a product, with a focus on cloud architecture and externally hosted
technologies
- Manage the strategic product development and/or existing
product enhancement roadmap as well as program development
including program launch and marketing to gain maximum benefit from
each product
- Develop capabilities within PBWM to ensure adherance to
policies in the cloud architecture review space and meet regualtory
requirements
- Leverage internal/external partners and subject matter
expertise to innovate and define new products/solutions as well as
direct and oversee aspects of product development life cycle
management including market demands, technology trends, and the
competitive field
- Integrate specialty knowledge with field concepts, practices,
and procedures in relation to IT governance, controls, IT risks,
solution development lifecycle, DevOps, application portfolio
management, and software engineering.
- Participate in formulation of strategies around resource
allocation addressing features of the controls products, including:
automation, metrics, process enhancements, monitoring, etc.
- Manage the creation of user stories to build out the features
and capabilities that drive exceptions and non-compliance to
zero
- Drive and track adoption of control products across
organizations
- Partner across organization to drive standardization
- Provide inputs to platform teams to drive direction of
automation and technical & processes enhancements. Establish
feedback loops to address consumer needs and pain-points
- Engages with management at all levels in discussions regarding
architecture, engineering, and control as subject matter experts in
critical compliance areas affecting the organization;
- Gathers, compiles and analyzes data in order to extract
information pertaining to critical control analysis at the country,
regional, global or risk level as needed;
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made,
demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation
and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving
compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to
Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal
behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing
and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as
effectively supervise the activity of others and create
accountability with those who fail to maintain these
standards.Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience leading cross-functional team to define and achieve
high value business goals
- Experience in solution development lifecycle and software
engineering
- Experience in process controls and process automation
- Well versed in Agile methodology, and creating & grooming
product backlogs
- Familiar with common agile tools, such as JIRA
- Strong communication across multiple levels and able to
influence outside of direct control
- Familiarity with launching products, features, and
capabilities, including driving adoption and supporting
- Demonstrated experience driving business innovation, leveraging
management information, and data analytics to drive results
- Experience in scenario development and forecasting as well as
experience serving clients
- Demonstrated knowledge of product development, financial
acumen, and IT processes
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as
circumstances dictate
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or
unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal
communication
- Previous supervisory experience a plusEducation:
