Job Description:
Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated PRN Physical
Therapist specializing in Acute Care to join our dynamic team of
healthcare professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for
providing critical physical therapy services on an as-needed basis,
helping patients achieve optimal functional outcomes after acute
injuries or surgeries. This position requires flexibility, a
passion for patient care, and a commitment to upholding the high
standards of our healthcare system. You will work closely with a
multidisciplinary team, ensuring that all therapy sessions are
tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient within our
acutely demanding healthcare setting. Evaluate patients’ medical
history and physical condition to determine appropriate physical
therapy treatment plans. Implement specialized therapy
interventions and exercises tailored to patients' needs, focusing
on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and preventing disabilities.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals including doctors,
nurses, and other therapists to optimize patient care. Educate
patients and caregivers about treatment plans, exercises, and
strategies for managing their health. Document patient progress and
adapt treatment plans as necessary, complying with all healthcare
regulations and ensuring the highest quality of care. Expert
knowledge in physical therapy modalities and techniques, especially
in an acute care setting. Strong interpersonal and communication
skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
Ability to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing
situations. Proficiency in using physical therapy software and
equipment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Current Physical Therapist license in the state of
Texas. Additional certification in acute care physical therapy is
preferable but not required.
