the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Oncology RN in Dallas, Texas, 75230! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Bone Marrow Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00-07:00)
Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, ONS Chemotherapy Certification Must-Have: Oncology experience
Chemotherapy Certification PCU level of care experience
Description: Must have oncology experience and chemotherapy
certification. Unit has a total of 40 beds. Patient ratios are
dependent on staffing ability. Target ratio is 1:3, with a stretch
ratio of 1:4. Two Patient Care Technicians are available in the
mornings and one in the evenings. Bedside monitors and computers
are mounted on the walls. Lift assist devices are available.
Documentation system is Meditech. Schedules require rotation of
weekends. Travelers float first as per the floating policy. Patient
experience requirements include bedside shift report and safety
rounds. Candidates must have excellent assessment skills. Ability
to read telemetry and monitor simple titration of drips is
preferred. Competent administration of chemotherapy is required.
Infrequent procedures performed on the unit include bone marrow
biopsies. There is an emphasis on teamwork and a welcoming
environment for floats and contract employees. The unit boasts
five-time accreditation by FACT. Performs autologous and allogeneic
transplants, including various donor types and CAR-T therapies. 5
