have an Arlington position available and a Mansfield position
available. Job Title Athletic Trainer-Certified Department Physical
Therapy Location Arlington or Mansfield FSLA Status Fulltime Exempt
X Reports to PT Clinic Manager Supervises None Job Summary The
Athletic Trainer (ATC) will help Physical Therapists provide
physical therapy treatments and procedures. The ATC will assist in
carrying out treatment plans, routine functions, document the
progress of treatment, and coordinate modification of treatment in
accordance with patient status and with the scope of the treatment
plan established by a physical therapist. Principal Duties and
Responsibilities Greets each person as they enter the department
setting the standard of Patient Care Excellence. Provides an
excellent first impression of our practice by providing
professional, courteous, and efficient customer service always.
Instruct, motivate, safeguards, and assist patient as they practice
exercises and functional activities. Confers with physical therapy
staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for
planning, modifying, and coordinating activities and treatment
plans. Evaluation and treat patients when appropriate Administers
active and passive manual therapeutic exercise, therapeutic
massage, heat, light, sound, and electrical modality treatments
such as ultrasound. Measures patients range of joint motion, body
parts, and vital signs to determine effects of treatments or for
patient evaluations. Monitors operation of equipment and records
use of equipment and administration of treatment. Compliance with
all company policies and procedures. Any other duties as assigned
by management. Job Qualifications Education A degree or
certification from an athletic trainer program that included course
study in anatomy and physiology, and clinical experience. Specific
Job Experience Recommended student internship at TMI or prior 1
year of experience working as a ATC. Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities Excellent customer service skills and patient care
skills. Basic understanding of physical therapy and medical
terminology. Good computer skills Ability to maintain the
confidentiality and security of sensitive, privileged
communications and work product. Ability to utilize Electronic
Heath Care Record system for documentation to patients’ record
