Estimated Weekly Salary Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1260 - $1350 per week Med/Surg RN Job Details – Decatur, TX Location: Decatur, Texas 76234 (North Texas healthcare jobs) Facility: Main Campus, 4th & 5th Floor Med/Surg Units Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026) Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week: 36 Employment Type: Travel RN Weekend Shifts: Required Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Texas or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience Telemetry experience required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Strong time management and teamwork skills Ability to float to Inpatient Rehab, Emergency Department (ED), and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to Med/Surg patients on designated units Monitor patients using remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, and dynamaps Document assessments and care in Alterra (Allscripts) EMR system Assist with procedures including abdominal surgeries (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, colectomy), diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart catheterizations, run offs, gastric sleeves, joint replacements, and orthopedic trauma repairs Initiate IVs and interpret cardiac rhythms Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team: RNs, LVNs, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and charge nurses Maintain a positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude Comply with unit policies, dress code (Medical City Blue scrubs), and attendance requirements Apply now to join our healthcare team in Decatur, Texas and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
