The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones. Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm CST or 8:00am-5:30pm Location: Healthcare Associates - 1305 Airport Fwy, Suite 220, Bedford, TX Primary Responsibilities: - Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time - Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification and copy required documents - Collects co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles and issues receipts - Processes walk-in patients and visitors - Answers phones and schedules appointments - Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns and take messages as needed - Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule) - Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc. - Keeping updated measures on an Excel spreadsheet - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public - Performs all other related duties as assigned What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma/GED (or higher) - 1 years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone - 1 years of medical office experience including data entry - Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft applications Preferred Qualifications: - 1 years of working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology - ICD 10 and CPT coding experience - Electronic Medical Records experience - Bilingual (English/Spanish) Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
