Is familiar with vaginal and C-section births, fetal monitoring and provide care to patients who have received various forms of anesthesia. Will be accountable per policy for managing patients receiving Magnesium Sulfate IV Infusions. Demonstrates ability to care for women of childbearing age and infants up to four (4) hours old. Must support family centered maternity care.Must strongly support family centered maternity care.What qualifications you will need:Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.Antepartum experience required and competent in obstetrical practiceCurrent RN license in the State of Texas or compact licenseCurrent American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS providerNRP required within 3 months of hireMust successfully complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course within 1 year of hire or provide documentation of completion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring CourseMedical City Dallas is recognized for its advanced medical facilities and commitment to excellence in patient care.
