    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Under the supervision of the Director of Quality, the Sepsis Coordinator is responsible for identifying; knowing the patients at the unit/microsystem level, inter-professional communication to meet patients' needs, and lateral integration of care.-- Accountable for patient safety and quality outcomes for a narrowly focused patient population of sepsis.-- Assimilates and applies research-based information to design, implement, and evaluate patient care with a point of care focus.

    Qualifications MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:--


  • Education and Certification /Licensure





      • Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.-- Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
      • RN with current licensure or RN with temporary permit to practice from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.-- If temporary license must be able to obtain permanent RN Licensure within 30-days of hire.
      • Current National Certification in area of expertise (CEN, CNRN, CCRN, etc.) preferred.
      • Current BLS/ACLS certification required.

      • Experience and Training




        • Minimum of 2 years' experience in critical care required.


        • Minimum of 3-5 years healthcare experience required.


        • Broad knowledge and familiarity with healthcare-related regulatory and accreditation requirements.


        • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of database systems.


        • Possesses strong analytical and process improvement skills.
