Job Description:

Serves as a senior compliance risk manager for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) 's Testing team responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic Automation and Analytics function supporting Compliance Testing within ICRM. Also responsible for coordinating with and contributing to the ICRM Innovation and Technology strategy.Key Activities include:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and execution of the Compliance Testing Automation program and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business partners, data engineers and infrastructure partners to gather requirements, extract insights and develop viable solutions.
  • Perform solution reviews and update requirements to align with changing environment needs.
  • Possess a strong sense of visual design to present analytical results with exceptional customer experience as a priority.
  • Active ownership and accountability for tracking on all assigned development and operational projects.
  • Stay current with emerging tools, techniques and technologies in machine learning, statistical modelling & analytics.
  • Overseeing the development, implementation, and execution of the compliance testing, continuous testing, and reporting programs in accordance with the Compliance Testing (CT) Plan.
  • Build and apply new automation solutions for CT processes using big data methods. Design technical solutions supporting complex data reporting and analytical tasks.
  • Use visualization techniques to display data and the results of analysis in clear form that can be understood by non-technical readers and Senior Stakeholders of the firm.
  • Directing the conceptualization, discovery, planning, development and the release of -Automation technology for product line or function, or legal entities globally
  • Managing a team or multiple teams of Compliance Technology and Data Analytics professionals. Developing, attracting, and retaining talent; recommending staffing levels required to carry out the unit 's role and responsibilities effectively while establishing and adhering to talent management processes and compensation and performance management programs.
  • Defining resource requirements and budgets for CT Automation and Analytics function.
  • Additional duties as assigned.Education level and/or relevant experience(s)Required:
    • Bachelor 's degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; extensive experience in area of Automation and Data Analytic
    • Previous experience managing a diverse staff
    • Prior experience in standing up a automation and data analytics function within an organization (financial services or other)Preferred:
      • Advanced degree (e.g. MBA) a plusKnowledge and skills (general and technical) -Required:
        • 15+ years of experience
        • Extensive global compliance and audit related experience, and strong knowledge of business processes and IT technologies utilized in the Financial Services Industry
        • Possess strong project management, budgeting, and interpersonal skills, makes sound decisions, and exhibit initiative and intuitive thinking
        • Executive presence and a reputation for building strong relationships with stakeholders and leading teams, both direct reports and in peer/influence models. Effectiveness in working within a large scale and complex matrix organization is essential
        • Proven experience in leading transformational change, in influencing geographically dispersed teams of world-class professionals and in implementation of cost effective and technology enabled innovative solutions in compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting
        • Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and -no surprises - approach in communicating issues, and strength in sustaining independent views.
        • Excellent communication skills in interacting with non-executives, executive management, regulators, and across a number of business lines and control functions
        • Effective persuasion skills, the ability to work effectively at the highest levels of the organization, and networking and influencing skills
        • This person will be comfortable acting as an agent for positive change with agility and flexibility
        • Strong experience in R, SQL, Python, SAS, and/or Scala to manipulate dat
        • Solid understanding of various Machine Learning algorithms, model selection criteria and Supervised/ Unsupervised learning techniques
        • Functional knowledge of ETL processes
        • Expert at building reports, dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence and analytics tools, such as Tableau, Micro Strategy or Cognos
        • Strong experience with Agile (scrum) framework and Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket and Confluence
        • Knowledge of the data pipeline and experience working with data through the various stages: identifying, validating, ingesting, monitoring, visualizing, predicting, reacting, explaining
        • Meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce high quality, accurate work consistently
        • Capable of communicating solutions, technical details and outcomes to audiences across diverse disciplines
        • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
        • Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized
        • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging
        • Subject matter expertise in Automation, Data Analytics and Machine LearningPreferred:
