Job Description The Sr. DevOps Engineer works within the Lab42
team to assist in the deployment and management of scalable,
resilient, and secure DevOps pipeline using tools such as
Kubernetes, Atlassian Bamboo, Bitbucket, and various scripting
languages in the way of:
- configuring core and customer builds, improvements, and ongoing
support
- directing new application development and configuration
- participate in complex problem solving and unique solution
implementations
- collaborate with the Lab42 Cybersecurity team to ensure
technical governance/compliance
- provide technical operations oversight and directionAs the
DevOps Engineer, this role will act as the expert in DevOps
pipeline design and execution in accordance with customer
requirements and contract requirements. In addition to heavy
technical responsibility, this role will also be responsible for
identifying opportunities for improvement, technical gaps, and
directional alignment to the annual objectives Lab42 organization
has identified as a whole. Someone who is experienced in dealing
with multi-national stakeholders and being willing to take on
activity outside of normal core hours in emergency situations is
preferred. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Proven communication and collaborative experience across
diverse engineering and IT teams
- Ability to self-direct and act as subject matter expert in
areas of infrastructure management, database and tooling
administration, and technical project operations
- Familiarity with federal Cybersecurity policies and industry
best practices
- Expertise in database and infrastructure design, architecture,
development, and ongoing support and maintenance
- Ability to assist customers in configuring Build Pipelines
(python, maven, npm, java, gradle)
- Experience utilizing Docker to build images (containers)
- Experience using Kubernetes to host customer applications,
development tools, etc
- Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes
- Experience with the Atlassian Toolset with a Focus in CI/CD
(Bamboo experience is a MUST)
- Experience with Distributed Systems, Multi-threaded systems, or
Military systems
- Experience with ElasticSearch (ELK)
- Experience deploying new applications and identifying ways to
expand and increase adoption ratePreferred Education, Experience, &
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years work experience or equivalent
experience
- Experience with Security administration to include enterprise
antivirus, malware detection, intrusion detection and audit
solutions.
- Experience with AAA, security, operating systems and
networking
- Excellent with problem solving and troubleshooting complex
systems.
- Experience with Open Source tools, such as PostgreSQL, Rancher,
Kubernetes, Docker, Nexus Repository Manager
- Experience with Cloud technologies, such as OpenStack,
Salt
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services,GCP, Azure, platforms and
solutions
- Certified Kubernetes AdminPay InformationFull-Time Salary
Range: $102200 - $173700Please note: This range is based on our
market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined
by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
